You can either lug around a toddler or you can lug around a camera. You cannot do both. We have been doing some very fun things lately, but you will not be seeing pictures because I haven't taken any. However, I can tell you that we had a great time here in Marshall last week. We met up with friends and besides wandering around a very beautiful downtown, Jesse and Dashiell went ice skating while Morley, Eyvind and I went on the carousel.
Last Thursday we went to the Longview Christmas Parade. As you can see here, east Texas has a fondness for Christmas parades. If you scroll down that page I linked to and look at the picture which is fourth from the bottom on the left, you will see some very bright streaks of light - those are hot air balloon baskets and that is fire. They had to time the flames so they wouldn't hit the power lines. It was definitely the highlight of the parade, but a close second goes to all of the marching bands.
Tomorrow, if all goes well, we will be attending the Christmas Balloon Glow. Maybe we can manage the camera this time.
