To be fair, my doctor did warn me that the graft site might feel worse than the urethra; however, he didn't warn me that a quarter of my face would be either numb or aching.
I might have the numbness for quite a long time. I'm hoping the swelling will be gone in a couple of weeks. Right now it feels like a marble has been sewn into my jaw.
Don't worry, I won't post pictures of the other surgical site.
You look like you've had a tooth pulled. You poor thing! I find that facial pain is THE worse. Something about all the nerves endings. And pain meds don't work so great for it either. Is your medication helping at all?? And did they recommend ice or anything follow up to help?
