Study trip

For two weeks in May, Jesse and three other professors took a group of students to Poland and Germany as part of a Holocaust studies trip.  Jesse took a lot of pictures, and many of them are photos of photos - pictures of museum installations detailing the lives and deaths of individuals.  And while they did visit Treblinka and Auschwitz, Jesse did not take pictures at either location but instead supported the memorials by purchasing books there.

With the exception of the final one, the photos I've chosen to post have nothing to do with the focus of the trip, mainly because I don't feel up to the task of describing them.

 Poland

 They stumbled across a parade

 Still Poland

Trying to leave Poland (first train was delayed and they missed their connection)

 Made it to Berlin

These plaques are all around Berlin on the pavements - they mark the locations where the named people were last seen alive before they were deported and murdered.
