I am so behind on life. Got the job offer at Houghton, decluttered the house (which meant packing almost all of our books), deep cleaned the entire house (toothpicks and toothbrushes were involved; it's cleaner than when we bought it), put the house on the market, got a ton of showings the first day which meant I had to be out of the house with the kids and the dog, got an offer immediately, was hit by a storm the next day which made the roof leak and flooded the crawl space, got the roof fixed, went under the house to siphon off as much water as possible, signed a contract for the sale, had the house inspection, got hit by an even worse storm that left us without power for 4 days and took shingles off the roof and flooded the crawl space, got the roof fixed again, went under the house again (happy Mother's Day!), had the bank appraisal, and packed and packed and packed.
In all of that, there was school, dance class, doctor and dentist appointments, and finding out that we have to leave Longview a month earlier than anticipated because LeTourneau is LeTourneau (there is a reason they are getting the nickname, "LeTournover"). Oh, and we had to find a rental long-distance and plan a moving trip that is going to take 9 days and involve 3 cats. And speaking of cats, Boudicca got outside and refused to come back in for 3 days.
Anyway, somewhere in all of that Eyvind had her end-of-year program for dance (apparently not a recital; they do those every other year and those are a very big deal and huge production). The photos aren't the best because I didn't want to use flash. A note on the flowers - Eyvind loves flowers and often asks to get them at the grocery store, so instead of buying her a bouquet, we took her to the store after the performance and she got to pick out the ones she wanted. She chose the irises because she liked the color.

Wonderful pictures...so proud of you Eyvind! What a graceful dancer you have become sweet girl!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is she! Praying the move goes well.
