Excuses to eat pizza

We have had weeks of illness.  Dashiell came home with a cold at the end of the first week of school. Eyvind caught it and missed part of the second week of school; Morley got ill during the middle of that week.  Then Jesse brought the flu home.  At first, I thought the rest of us were going to avoid it, but no.  Whatever this is, it has a long gestation period.  When Jesse was almost completely out of the woods, Dashiell started showing symptoms.  A few days later, Eyvind got sick.  The day after her symptoms appeared, I came down with it.  I'm just now starting to feel human again (after two weeks) and now Morley has it.

In addition to the virus we've been sharing, things have been a bit crazy the past few days - Morley got violently ill on Thursday night because he wasn't able to finish his homework and he had been made to watch a movie in Spanish class that upset him.  On Friday night (last night), Eyvind had an allergic reaction to a food item and broke out in hives.  This morning, Jesse got an email from a student who is having mental health problems and was at risk.  Then, to round out the day and make life more exciting, we made an offer on a house this afternoon.

We ordered pizza for dinner because that's about the most my brain could handle tonight.

    1. I hate when comment boxes don't have an edit option! Yesterday was an improvement. We all stayed home and did work and watched movies. Sometimes you just need those recovery days. Things are moving forward with the house. There is one pizza place we haven't tried, but the place we go to is perfectly average. Not as good as the pizza we got in Connecticut; not as good as Round Table; better than Little Caesar's or Pizza Hut.
