The final day at our house in Longview was incredibly stressful. We weren't even sure the house was going to close because the buyer's bank hadn't given the title company some required documents. When we finally did get confirmation that the closing was back on, it was during the mad rush to finish packing the truck. We didn't have time to say goodbye or even take a moment to look around before we left. Jesse swears that we got the final load of laundry out of the dryer, and I'll have to take his word for it. We arrived at the title company to sign the sale papers looking like trash - clothes soaked with sweat, covered in stains from carrying a greasy lawn mower, and with three tired kids and three upset cats in-tow. Then they made us wait. And wait. Finally, we signed the papers, jumped in the vehicles, and hit the road to our first stop in Arkansas.
In the midst of loading the U-Haul, I managed to take these pictures of the kids next to the door frame where we marked their growth. It was hastily done but better than nothing.
My hand is where she was when we moved to the house.
Morley grew a few inches.
Dashiell definitely grew the most.
