This wasn't Christmas. We had weeks of snow before Christmas then it got hot (into the 40s and 50s). This picture was taken after the warm up began.
Still, not Christmas.
Christmas! Eyvind kept changing the decorations on this table to suit her whims.
Our Dashiell-made Christmas centerpiece.
Our Eyvind-made Christmas centerpiece. The little white things on the right are statues Eyvind made. They are an alien and his spaceship which has captured a human. What can I say, she has brothers.
Eyvind got dressed up first thing on Christmas morning and pretended she was a Christmas fairy. She sprinkled these snowflakes in the boys' room.
Chekhov, who is going to be greatly disappointed when the tree is removed because he loves drinking water from the base.
It's appropriate that this picture is fuzzy - the morning was kind of a blur. It was hard to keep up with everything.
Eyvind lost no time in playing with her gifts.
Nougat, who is cute but not very bright.
Morley was out riding his scooter.
Due to the tick population, we have only started playing on this death trap since it got cold.

Great pictures! What a beautiful Christmas tree you had Casey. That basement room is nice but it does look like it might feel closed in to be in it. That of course is from a claustrophobic point of view. :) For some reason I expected heavier snowfall there. Wondering if the season for that is later than I realized...like January or February.
ReplyDeleteI am not made to be subterranean - I cannot relax in the basement. We've been told that December is usually rainy and cold with only a little snow, and January and February are the snowier, colder months. Some people were even a little surprised at the amount of snow we got in December.
DeleteSo how many months do they expect to have snow once January arrives I wonder?
DeleteSnow goes into March with a possibility of a couple of days with snow at the beginning of April. The 30 year average snowfall amount in March is 11.6" and it drops to 3" in April. Of course, that's for the entire town of Caneadea which is spread out quite a bit.
